Raphael means «God heals». In the Book of Tobit the archangel accompanies young Tobias on his journey, protects him, leads him to his bride Sarah and heals his father Tobit of blindness. His icon is a wish for healing, for a good journey and for a blessed love.

- With a small jar of medicine, sign of the healing that comes from God.

Who it is a fitting gift for
Saint Raphael is patron of doctors, pharmacists, the sick, travellers and engaged couples. His icon is a gift for the opening of a medical practice or pharmacy, for someone leaving on a long journey, for someone going through illness and for a couple preparing for marriage, in memory of the wedding of Tobias and Sarah. Like every icon from the atelier, it is fully gilded with 23¾ karat gold, with inscriptions in Greek or Latin, and is commissioned with an offering proportionate to the time and materials of the work.
